Humidors

Humidor is a tool capable of maintaining an optimal moisture rate for cigar storage. The invention of the humidor, which took place in the middle of the last century, is relatively recent considering that the cigar was known for centuries. From a modern point of view, certainly, you can ask the question: how could they do without an object, which today is so essential? The answer is very simple. The tropical wet climate of central America, where cigars are born, is also the suitable place for storage. At these conditions the tobacco does not dry completely absorbs excess moisture. Although the European climate differs a lot from the tropical climate, it can easily provide the necessary conditions for the "survival" of the cigar, even if in winter with the cold for cigars it becomes much more difficult to maintain the original qualities: tobacco deteriorates quickly. The first person who turned his attention to this problem was Zino Davidoff, to his return to Europe from Cuba. For a man who had learned all the secrets and nuances of the cigar, the difference in the quality of the same cigar smoked in the Christmas land or in Europe was evident. Precisely from this man who loved quality tobacco and cigar cigars arrived the idea of a special container that had a particular system to preserve the optimal humidity for the cigar, regardless of the microclimate of the place of preservation. But, despite the fact that the benefits of the humidor were obvious, the novelty has not been accepted everywhere. As every great innovation, the real importance of the humidor was recognized only many years after his invention. There are numerous types of humidors that guarantee this result.
