Sea foam is a mineral known as sepiolite (or hydrated silicate of magnesium) that is mined in Turkey and takes on the bizarre name "sea foam" because it is not uncommon to see small pieces of it floating and rolling on the shores of the Black Sea and, therefore, evoking the white effect of waves breaking on the shoreline.
Smoking a foam gives the original tobacco flavor as the pipes do not remain conditioned by previous aromas; they offer very fresh smokes and, a very unique feature, with constant and continuous use they "culottate" i.e., darken. Better yet they take on colorations that are at first amber and then, gradually darken more and more.
The stove often depicts what is produced by the sculptor's imagination.
The pipe, for the first few smokes, will have to be "gripped" with a white glove, since during the first 5/10 smokes the ore expels wax and oil (in very small amounts), which, however, run the risk of staining the pipe.
