Who we are

Tabaccheria Sisimbro was founded in 1959 by Franco Sisimbro in the elegant center of Naples, between piazza Amedeo, via dei Mille and piazza San Pasquale.
From a simple shop it has immediately become a reference point in the city for all those who love to smoke a pipe and cigar.
At the time of the foundation it was possible to obtain only Tuscans and some Dutch cigars and thanks to Franco's foresight and passion, humidified display cases were created: the first in Italy.

Over the years, following constant growth, gift items, accessories and luxury items were added to the slow smoking category, with prestigious brands such as S.T. Dupont, Cartier, Davidoff, Montegrappa, Mignon Paris, Pineider ...
And for game lovers, a large area dedicated to table games, with roulette, chess, cards, chips and many other accessories.

In 2000 a "walk in humidor" was set up and the tobacconist became a popular destination for pipe and cigar smokers from all over southern Italy and beyond.

For some years now, Franco's daughter, Anita Sisimbro, has been leading the company, instilling passion and dedication and passing on her knowledge to her son Ciro who works alongside her every day.

And it is thanks to the love for the world of pipe cigars and the true cult of slow smoking, that in 2017 the elegant and exclusive Habanos Lounge was inaugurated in the Sisimbro "living room": the first in Italy.

The details of the Sisimbro History

In 1959 Franco Sisimbro, a young man of only eighteen, bought a small tobacconist's in via San Pasquale in Chiaia; despite the young woman
age Franco had a great dream: he knew that his would be a unique tobacconist of its kind.
A few years later, Franco begins to take the first steps towards his goal, becoming a dealer for Cartier and Dupont lighters and cultivating what was his passion: the pipe.
Fifteen years later he managed to take over the adjacent premises to enlarge his small shop.
Thanks to dedication and passion, Franco, in a short time, becomes the exclusive dealer of Castello and Dunhill pipes in Campania; passion that he has been able to pass on to his daughter, Anita, who now leads the company.
Anita while perpetuating her paternal passions decides to broaden the horizons of the business towards cigars and luxury items.
In 2000 Sisimbro set up a well-stocked walk in humidor and as regards the 'slow smoke' it became a point of reference for the whole south.
Anita's motto is: "I can do without anything but the superfluous" (Oscar Wilde).
If you are looking for an original and refined gift for those who have everything, the Sisimbro tobacconist in Naples is the right place.
