S.T. Dupont

S.T. Dupont is a French company specialized in the creation and manufacture of luxury personal objects, including lighters. The company S.T. DuPont was founded in 1872, in the Parisian laboratory of Simon Tissot Dupont, from which the initials "S.T." Initially Simon Tissot Dupont created a carriage company that disappeared after a fire. Due to the crisis of 1929, and following a trip to New York, Lucien decided to guide the company towards the production of luxury products destined for the international "Gotha". The quality of the products turned out to be successful, thanks above all to the use of China lacquer. During the war, since the buyers of Nécessaire were less numerous, André suggested the idea of ​​making petrol lighters. The patent was deposited in 1941 in Annecy. At the end of the war, taking into consideration the changes in the Travel sector, the company S.T. DuPont oriented its production towards lighters. In 1966 the first adjustable lighter came out. Choosing a DuPont lighter means having style and enhance the tactile and visual perfection of every detail. DuPont lighters are precious, classic but also innovative, with a sophisticated and mostly handmade design.
